Revival

Weekends

Gathering the hungry ones, the fire-starters, those unsatisfied with the status quo, to cry out for fresh outpourings of the Holy Spirit and to take that fire to the broken streets of our neighbourhood.

What are these Revival Weekends about?

Every fourth Saturday of the month.

And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

- Acts 4:31

Bread is called of God to be a bold, gospel-proclaiming, Christ-centric, apostolic hub, which trains, equips and releases harvesters after its kind into the ends of the earth. For that to happen we intend to gather the hungry ones, the fire-starters, those who are unsatisfied with the status quo, from all over the region and nation, to cry out for fresh outpourings of the Holy Spirit, to steward increased measures of the presence of God and to take that fire to the broken streets of our nation.

This only happens through regular prayer, deepening and prolonged praise and worship, and faithful proclamation of the true gospel. The Holy Spirit does not sanction or sponsor our overly comfortable, inoffensive, man-pleasing ways, but demonstrates with power over the proclamation of the matchless name of Jesus and the finished work of the cross. (1 Cor 2:1-5)

The move of God is always a move of grace but if we want to catch His attention and position ourselves well in these dark days, then we must become a holy, set apart, repentant people, who have said a firm goodbye to the world and who carry a reverence for the word of God (Isa 66:2).

“Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord?
Or who may stand in His holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,
Nor sworn deceitfully.” (Psalm 24:3-4)

As such we hope and believe that these weekend gatherings in time will snowball and take on the unstoppable life and heartbeat of the Spirit of God.

These weekends, occurring the fourth Saturday of each month, will involve three central parts, with beautiful and rich fellowship in the Spirit surrounding it all:
