“The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.” (Westminster shorter catechism)

Our Values

1.     The championing of an unhurried and joyful childhood.

2.     Enabling and empowering children to discover the discipline of study and the delight of learning.

3.     Love, encouragement and pastoral care which places parents and children’s wellbeing at the heart of all we do.

4.     Christian moral, social and spiritual values, for those of all faiths or none.

Our Vision for Education

1.     A Biblical Faith and World View Underpinning our Learning

We want our children to learn the chief end of man: that their life is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. For children to see prayer and their relationship with God as the root of all worthy education as they understand Jesus to be the ultimate rabbi, teacher and source of all truth, enlightenment, revelation and discovery.

2.     The Joy of Learning

We want our children to learn the joy of learning, of reading, of having an inquiring mind, of adventure, of trying things out, of sharing their views confidently, of having a voice, of learning history, politics, culture, science, literature and the arts, of doing their best, of celebrating growth and not perfection in themselves and others. We want our children to learn not for marks and prizes or from fear of failure, or to get work finished and out of the way to make room for better things, but because learning is its own joyful reward.

3.     The Limitless Possibilities of Learning

We want our children to believe that anything and everything is possible with God and that His plan for them is good and prosperous and the one to pursue above all!

4.     Love being the Ultimate Learning

To love God with everything and love their neighbour as themselves.

Safeguarding at Bread

We want everyone to feel safe and welcome at our community events.

Who looks after children?

• Parents and carers remain responsible for their own children at all times.

• We do not run unsupervised children’s work or take children into our personal care.

What we do

• Provide safe, welcoming spaces for families.

• Ensure our venues are appropriate and risk-assessed.

• Expect all our team members to act with respect and care.

• Take seriously any concerns about the safety or wellbeing of a child, young person, or vulnerable adult.

What happens if there’s a concern?

• If we believe a child is at risk of harm, we will share our concern with our Safeguarding Lead.

• If necessary, we may contact the local authority or police to ensure the child is protected.
