BARISTA
MISSIONARIES

Serve & Grow.

Thrusting out sent ones, everywhere.

What is the Bread Internship?

The Bread Internship is a call to adventure: a unique opportunity for 18 - 30 year olds to embark on a transformative journey of radical discipleship, professional barista training and five-fold equipping for Christian ministry.

We’re inviting a generation of young people to become a Barista Missionary and join Jesus on the High Street.

An immersive 90 day school of mission:

  • Professional barista training.

  • Weekly mission school and ministry training led by Dom and Thea Muir.

  • Regular evangelistic outreaches

  • Vocational training related to work streams including Worship, Media and Community

  • 1-2-1 and group mentoring led by Marcus and Emily Letts of Laid Down Life.

  • Immersion in a weekly rhythm of prayer and fasting, worship and celebration.

How can I help?

We know it will take the whole church to prayerfully thrust out this generation of sent ones.

That’s why we’re committed to cultivating a Bridal mindset by making every effort to bake partnership opportunities into the Bread recipe, wherever possible.

This invitation is your opportunity to sow into the life of a young Barista Missionary at Bread.

Alternatively, become an individual or organisational member of our mission charity to directly support the Bread Internship itself, and together let’s help empower the most evangelical generation in history as they learn to wholeheartedly live and love like Jesus.

  1. Sponsor an intern

  2. Partner with Bread.

How it works:

  • Each intern we select is paid a living wage by Bread.

  • Each intern is simultaneously challenged to raise up to 50% of this salary in support.

  • We believe in investing ourselves and our resources - whether our time or money, even our entire lives - in obedience to the Great Commission, wholeheartedly.

  • Whether you’re a budding intern ready to invest your life, or someone with a big heart for the least and the lost willing to invest your resources - Bread invites you to jump into this river of blessing with us, today.

Why Give? 3 Benefits of partnership:

Unique Opportunity

Our partnership approach creates a unique opportunity for Bread, giving each community cafe a critical edge on crisis-stricken UK high streets by reducing our biggest expense, salaries.

Local Church Relationship

Importantly, it also invites local churches into a dynamic relationship designed to help raise up and launch a generation of sent ones into mission fields unmistakably white for harvest, whether neighbourhoods or nations.

Taster

Meanwhile, our Barista Missionaries are offered the opportunity to taste and see by living a missional lifestyle on the frontlines of the UK’s spiritual crisis: our destitute high streets.

I have an absolute passion to see revival come in the UK. I love seeing people making the decision to follow Jesus whole-heartedly. I love seeing lives transformed; through inner and physical healing and deliverance. Through hearing what God wants to pray and seeing Christians filled up and on fire for God.
