Bread School of Marketplace Ministry

Bread School is a six month marketplace ministry school based in a working café in the heart of Yeovil.

For three years, Bread has been a place of real encounter, worship, discipleship, and outreach. Now, we are raising a generation to carry that same Kingdom life into the marketplace.

* Those who are ready to serve, lead, and take responsibility

* Those exploring or pursuing a clear sense of calling and purpose

* Those who want to be part of a committed, missional community, not just attend a course

What is Bread School?

Bread School exists to form and equip people to live fully for Jesus in the real world. There will be weekly teaching from Dominic or Thea Muir, as well as guest speakers from leading national ministries. This is not training removed from everyday life, but radical discipleship embedded in it.

3 Pillars of Bread school:

  • Practical café skills: food preparation, barista training, hygiene, safety, administration.

  • Ministry in context: evangelism, prophetic ministry, pastoral care in everyday settings.

  • Core spiritual life foundations: the gospel, the pre-eminence of Jesus, walking in love, life in the Spirit, identity in Christ.

This training is not theoretical. It is lived out daily in the café, on the streets, and in shared life together. Growth is measured not simply by knowledge, but by visible fruit in character, relationships and service.

We walk closely together as a community, with openness, accountability and genuine fellowship at the centre.

Testimonials

“My time at Bread was very powerful and I learnt so much! It is amazing to be in a place that welcomes all the radical things of God, not just the comfortable things. With Bread being on the high street, you get to be a part of people from every walk of life hearing about Jesus and reacting in their own ways. It's good to be where the people are not just where the people of God are. Dom and Thea really showed me what it means to live for the Kingdom of God and I'm still carrying the fire that was stoked in me from my time in the Bread community.”

— Robyn Hammond, Former Intern

“I was an intern and employee at Bread for two years. Throughout my time I had the privilege of leading worship for many different gatherings and I found that it is an amazing place for people to just walk in on their nights out and experience the presence of God. I have learnt about and witnessed lots of deliverance and healing, which has opened my eyes to what the presence of God can do. I have learnt about what it means to love people the way Jesus did, in the day in day out. Being at Bread has made me so grow in so many ways for which I am thankful.”

— Luca Vive, Former Intern

“The presence of God is so clearly evident and moving at Bread. There is such a hunger to see God glorified, an open availability to be used by Him, and an expectancy to see God move. My time there was truly transformative, and I have left inspired and spurred on to seek the Lord with more and more fervour.

Being at Bread truly deepened my walk with Christ, as I learnt more fully to surrender all things to the Lord, choosing to more intentionally live in the freedom He has already won for us in Christ. When we seek the Lord's face - to really desire Him for who He is - He moves powerfully.

Amongst learning more coffee technique and enjoying serving, I became more bold in my evangelism as we desired to speak Jesus to as many customers as we could. It is greatly encouraging how many people are actually willing to talk about faith when we step out and start the conversation, and this is something I seek to continue to do where I am now."

— Eliza Durham, Former Intern
